Tech For Troops & “Very Important Veteran” Program with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Powered by Bastionpoint Technology for the Month of July!

Richmond, VA – July 1, 2025 — In a season filled with gratitude, legacy, and community spirit, Tech For Troops was proud to announce the Very Important Veteran (VIV) program in partnership with the Richmond Flying Squirrels during their final season at the beloved Diamond. This heartfelt initiative shines a spotlight on local veterans, honoring their service in front of thousands of fans each home game.

This July, the VIV program will be powered by Bastionpoint Technology, a leading Richmond-based managed IT and cybersecurity firm, known for its deep roots in supporting both local businesses and community organizations.

A Night at The Diamond with Our Heroes

Throughout the month of July, each Richmond Flying Squirrels home game will feature a Very Important Veteran—a local servicemember or veteran—who will be honored on the field and celebrated for their service. In what promises to be a historic and emotional season, fans will not only cheer on their favorite team but also stand in salute to the heroes who have served our country.

The 2025 season marks the final chapter for the Squirrels at The Diamond, the historic ballpark that has served as the heartbeat of Richmond baseball for decades. As the stadium prepares to pass the torch to a new venue, the VIV program offers a fitting tribute to the values that have defined both The Diamond and the community it serves: honor, tradition, and togetherness.
